Endelig, fikk jeg sydd disse to putene, som jeg klippet ut stoff til i desember i fjor....
Sånn kan det gå når en har alfor mange planer.
Jeg bare elsker disse to stoffene fra Stoff og Stil,
som jeg også brukte i to av julesokkene som ble sydd i fjor, innlegget er her.
Finally I was able to sow these two pillow cases, that I prepared and cut fabric for in December last year...

Den stripete linputa - med instruksjoner
Sydd av linstoff med småstripete struktur rød (850618) på Stoff og Stil, mitt favorittstoff over alle andre "julestoffer". Har sydd flere ting i dette stoffet:). Kommer etterhvert:)
Husk å vaske stoffet før du begynner, fordi det er litt krymp, og det er litt kjiipt hvis det blir for lite til puta.
Sydd med konvoluttåpning midt på bak, med ca. 15 cm overlapping av stoff bak (hater å sy i glidelåser, så dette går kjapt, og ser pent ut....).
Jeg beregnet dermed 15 cm ekstra stoff + 2 cm +2 cm for innfellingskanten på hver side av åpningen. Og på sidene av puten 1-2 cm ekstra til søm på hver side.
Fell først inn (brett inn kantene til åpningen 2 ganger fra vrangen) sett nåler, og sy en søm med rette sting, gjenta på den andre siden av åpningen. Så setter du nåler fra vranga langs sidene til puta, og da overlapper stoffene ca. 15 cm. (Mål trekkets totale sidemål sånn at du ser det passer til putas mål). Jeg sydde sidesømmene med overlock (rett søm og sikksakking av kanten i ett), men har du ikke overlock, kan du godt sy med rett søm med liten stinglengde (1.5-1) for at stoffet ikke skal rakne forbi sømmen, men siden det er ei pute som kanskje blir mye brukt, ville jeg gått over kanten med en bred sikksakksøm etterpå. Ferdig!
Brukte sjablong 'Gode Jul' fra Panduro (hadde mange forskjellige fine på samme sjablongen), og mørkegrå tekstilmaling som ble påført med liten svamp. (Hadde papp under stoffet, fordi malingen trekker gjennom stoffet).
Synes den ble skikkelig julekoselig, jeg!
Den rutete ulltweed puta
Sydd av rutete ulltweed mørkerød (803090) fra Stoff og Stil
Sydd med glidelås på den ene kortsida. Hater som sagt å sy i glidelås, og har ikke noen perfekt og kjapp fremgangsmåte enda som jeg har lyst til å dele...., men med småbarn i huset er det praktisk å kunne både få vaska trekket, eller bare snu puta rundt hvis det kom en flekk på:) Hehe... Så derfor ble det glidelås allikavel...
The striped linen pillow - with instructions
Sown from linen fabric with smallstriped structure red ( no.850618) at Stoff og Stil. This is my favorite fabric above all christmassy fabrics. I have sown more thisngs in this fabric this season:). I will show you later.:)
Remember to wash the fabric before you start, because it shrinks, and the oillow case might become too small.
It was sown with an envelope opening in the middle of the back, with appr.15 cm overlapping of fabric (I hate sowing zippers in pillows, so this is a quick way to avoid this, and it still looks nice).
So I calculated 15 cm extra length of fabric, pluss 2 cm for each of the two edges of the openings of the pillow case. This is enough for folding each edge twice, and sowing a seem on each of them. And for the sides of the pillow I added 1-2 cm on each side, compared to the meassurement of the pillow you're using.
After you have washed and cut the fabric, like described above: fold the ends of the overlaph ofping fabric parts twice from its back side, fasten with needles, and sow a seem on each them with a straight seem. Then fold the fabric to the size of the pillow you are using (inside of the fabric out), and connect the fabric parts with needles along the sides (the fabrics now has a 15 cm overlap). I used overlock seem for the sides of the pillow case, for extra durability, but if your mashine doesn't have overlap, you can use short, straight stitches approximately 1 cm from the edge of the fabric (between 1 and 1.5 for less chance of unravelling past the seem), and a wide zig zag seem on the edge itself for preventing unravelling. Done!
I used a stencil saying 'Good Christmas' in Norwegian from Panduro Hobby, og used a dark gray textile paint, that I added with a little sponge. (I used a piece of carton underneath the fabric, since the paint easily bleeds through the fabric.
I thought it came out really cozy and Christmassy! And I am really pleased with the result.
The wool tweed pillow
Sown from dark red wool tweed (no. 803090) from 'Stoff og Stil'
Sown with a zipper on one of the short sides. I just hate sowing zippers, and I havn't found a perfect and quick way yet, that I would like to share...., but with small children in the house, it is practical to be able to take it off to wash it, or to be able to turn the pillow over on the other side in case of a spot:) haha... So zipper it was....
Lysefat med Mosekuler
Dette herlige lysefatet kjøpte jeg på KID.
Jeg har pynta med mosekuler, som er oasiskuler dekket med mose som er festet ved å surre sølvfarget ståltråd rundt. Litt kongler og en sølvstjerne jeg hadde liggende fra en blomst for noen år tilbake. Lotusblomst lysholderne er fra Kremmerhuset, og finnes i flere farger, og Krystallstakene er Bohemian Chrystall fra Tilbods for endel år tilbake, men selges enda.
Candle Tray with Moss Balls
I bought this adorable Candle Tray in Kid. I have decorated it with a couple of moss balls, which you can make by laying moss over a small oasis ball, and winding thin steel wire over it to fasten it to the ball. Really cute, I thought. I used silver colored steel wire. Some pine cones from the forrest and an old silver star. The Lotus flower candle holders are so pretty, and are from Kremmerhuset, and they have them in several colors, and the Chrystal Candle Holders are Bohemian, and bought in Tilbords a few years ago, but are still being sold...
